Real Mom Moment
Breakfast has always been one of the hardest meals in our house. My son isn’t the biggest eater, especially in the morning, and the one thing he consistently loves is bacon. Which sounds great… until you have to cook it every single day.
What happened
Between working full time in a corporate job and homeschooling, standing at the stove every morning just isn’t realistic. And while bacon works sometimes, it’s not exactly the breakfast plan I want every day. So we went on a mission to find something fast, easy, and actually acceptable to him.
What didn’t work
Most quick breakfasts were immediate no’s. Too different, wrong texture, or just not familiar enough to even try.
What helped
We tried the Jimmy Dean frozen croissant bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches (not sponsored — just survival). He loved the bacon and croissant… but not the egg. The win? Since it’s frozen, the egg comes right out. About 45 seconds in the microwave and breakfast is done. No need to thaw.
What I’m doing differently next time
Instead of trying to force the “perfect” breakfast, I’m focusing on something quick, predictable, and easy for him to accept. Fed is a great place to start.
If this sounds familiar
Feeding kids, especially in the morning, can feel harder than it should. Simple, flexible meals can make busy days start a little smoother.
