Ingredients
Rice:
2cupsbasmati ricerinsed until water runs clear
2tbspcooking oil
2cupswater
Seasoning:
1tspsalt
1/2tsponion powder
4tbspbuttercut into pieces
Instructions
Rinse basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
Set pressure cooker (Instant Pot or similar) to sauté mode.
Add oil and allow it to heat.
Add rinsed rice and cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring gently to lightly toast the rice.
Turn off sauté mode.
Add water using an equal ratio of water to rice.
Add salt, onion powder, and butter pieces.
Stir everything gently to combine.
Close the lid and set pressure cooker to the rice setting.
Once cooking is complete, perform a quick pressure release.
Open lid and fluff rice with a spoon or fork before serving.
